Have you tried Github profile readme?

A new feature has come up in Github where you can add a README file for your profile! Yes finally we can have a short description about yourself on the profile page in GitHub.

It is really simple to get started with having your own GitHub profile Readme.

First just head over to create new repository and give the repo name same as your GitHub username (in my case it’s madhuresh97) and you will see a green message box like the photo below:

Create a new repository
A repository contains all project files, including the revision history. Already have a project repository elsewhere?
Import a repository.
Owner
madhuresh97 •
Repository name
madhuresh97
You found a secret! madhuresh97/madhuresh97 is a *special repository that you can use to
add a README .md to your GitHub profile. Make sure it's public and initialize it with a README to get
started.
Description (optional)
Public
Anyone on the internet can see this repository, You choose who can commit.
Private
You choose who can see and commit to this repository.
Skip this step if you're importing an existing repository.
Initialize this repository with a README
This Will let you immediately clone the repository to your computer.
Add .gitignore: None
Add a license: None

Make sure you have checked “Initialize this repo with a README” as this is the place where you will be writing about yourself which will be displayed in your GitHub profile.

Now commit your content what you would like any person visiting your GitHub profile to know about you.

Finally git commit your changes.

That’s it!! 🚀
